Job Description


We are seeking a sourcing manager with a special focus on Data Services to join our dynamic IT Procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting stakeholders throughout our business in procuring information services. The role also requires keeping an updated overview of the supplier market with regards to available offerings, and match these against internal requirements for optimal use of external information sources.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with data stewards, product owners, and stakeholders in our business to understand their data needs and provide guidance on the most effective strategies to meet these needs
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the supplier marketplace, including products, content, and geographical coverage
  • Manage, negotiate, and proactively optimize the spend across Statkraft units
  • Monitor and evaluate the supplier market and share insights into new and/or alternative services with the business

Qualifications


To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

  • Relevant work experience and knowledge of energy market and operations
  • Solid experience with suppliers of market data and fundamental data
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, influence, and unite stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with procurements and contract negotiation
  • Attention to detail and able to maintain accurate records and data
  • Interest and ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent communications skills in Norwegian and English, including capability to clearly articulate thoughts, be persuasive, and communicate well with all levels of management

Statkraft manages critical infrastructure and services in several countries. The applicant must be eligible for Norwegian security clearance and authorization.

Location and travel: The position is located at our main office in Oslo. Some travel must be expected, particularly to Düsseldorf and London.
