The Research Laboratory Technician carries out laboratory experiments related to molecular biology and Epigenetics.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Perform bisulfite and enzymatic conversion treatment for DNA methylation studies; PCR; qPCR; DNA/RNA extractions, purifications and quantifications; NGS library preparations and purifications (Targeted methylation, WGBS, …); Fragment size profiling.
- Contribute to experimental tasks in a timely manner according to the project’s timeline
- Work accurately, precisely and be familiar with quality management practices
- Discuss progresses of projects with project managers
- Analyze results and prepare findings in short summary reports
- Offer suggestions based on hands-on experience that is carried out in support of the project
- Work in a team of experienced scientists and participate in weekly team meetings
- Manage and organize laboratory orders and stock
- Be in charge of equipment routinely maintenance and manage the technical problems of the instruments used in the context of the research
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor in Laboratory techniques
- Experience with DNA extraction/DNA methylation analysis/NGS library preparation are a plus
- Ability to work independently and with a good team spirit
- Good at planning, organizing and prioritizing things
- Thorough and careful while efficient and fast
- Critical, precise and methodical approach to work
- Good analytical mind
- Fluent French or English
